Hi! I’m Emily Haynes, the founder and director of Blue Pen. 

I’m a writer and content strategist specializing in brand writing, SEO content development, storytelling, and editing.

I knew I wanted to work with words from the time I took my first writing course at Barnard College. Fast forward twenty years and I’ve had the pleasure to collaborate with some of the top media, entertainment, and lifestyle brands including Airbnb, Chronicle Books, Pixar, Netflix, and Flo Health. I have extensive experience in the editorial arts, including developing a brand’s voice, writing and directing SEO editorial content, and creating short and long-form marketing content.

I am also the author of several books, including the picture books Ganesha's Sweet Tooth and Ganesha’s Great Race. I live in Los Angeles, California with my husband and two sons.
